It’s a mess out there, folks. Flights to and from LaGuardia have been stopped — what’s called a ‘ground stop’ — due to staff shortages due to the government shutdown.

As always happens when one key airport is impacted, there is a ripple effect across the country, particularly at Newark and Philly International.

The shutdown is now in its 35th day and TSA workers are calling in sick rather than work for no pay. Many of the furloughed workers have taken second jobs as Uber drivers to feed their families.

Since Trump has his own plane, it’s doubtful that he’ll care but as U.S. infrastructure collapses, even his own party will press him to end the government shutdown which he is holding hostage until he gets money for his border wall.
