Katie Couric Gives Away Free Baby Formula to 111 Moms.

Katie Couric is helping women with breast cancer who’ve had mastectomies and can’t breastfeed by supplying a year’s worth of food for their babies.

‘These women have been through an awful lot,’ said the cancer survivor. Couric went public with her breast cancer diagnosis last June.

Now cancer-free, Couric partnered with the organic baby formula company Bobbie and the non-profit organization Breasties to provide 111 mothers with a year’s worth of food for their infants.

She also announced that she is working to make formula and donor breast milk available to cancer survivors by asking lawmakers to require insurance companies to cover the costs for all parents who have undergone a mastectomy.
