You know her from her role on Mad Men and of course Girls but Zosia Mamet is also a human rights activist and has quietly pledged to donate 12,000 pairs of the Heat Holders socks — the warmest we’ve ever tried — to aid the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Through the Global Empowerment Mission(GEM) – a non-profit whose goal is to reinstate hope and opportunity for people affected by natural disasters — she sent the essential items. With Ukrainian refugees freezing in the winter, these thermal socks will be very welcome.
To date, GEM has delivered 84 truckloads of essential items, such as socks, to Ukraine with the help of people Zosia and Heat Holders.
