In Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand, lucky tourists can stay at the Jungle Bubble Lodge where you live among the elephants.

In the heavy-duty canvas ‘bubbles,’ there is a clear canvas sitting room to observe the wild creatures. Bedrooms are off to the side, and there is a sitting area and plunge pool outside.

Oh, and did we mention there’s 24-hour in-room dining service?

These are not trained elephants, but jungle elephants who come in for the delicious food and are well taken care of by the staff. There’s a vet on site.

The average room rate for one night is around $800, but since there are only a few of these ‘bubbles,’ you need to book ahead.
