Melania Trump announced she is following her husband’s lead by selling a Mother’s Day necklace for $245 she’s named “Her Love & Gratitude. The flower pendant has heart-shaped petals,an adjustable 16-18 inch chain and can be engraved with names, initials, or ‘meaningful dates.’
It retails for a pricey $245.
“Being a mother is one of the most important roles in life,” she said.
“For this Mother’s Day, I have designed the ‘Her Love & Gratitude’ necklace to express immense gratitude and honor all mothers.”
Not surprisingly, the reaction to her latest sales effort has not been well-received on social media.
“$250 for vermeil? Are you kidding me?” one user shared, adding, “Heck, you really think highly of yourself if you think we’d want your signature to be larger than the names of our children.”
A number of users described it as a “grift,” comparing it to similar ventures from her husband, who recently sold gold trainers and Bibles to help raise money for his mounting legal woes.
