The InterContinental, a five-star hotel in Singapore, promises to pay you if it rains during your dream vacation
Called the “Rain Resist Bliss” package, it will reimburse one night of a guest’s stay if one of their planned activities is rained out.
The hotel’s manager, Andreas Kraemer, explained “I was chatting with a group of friends about what’s next in luxury travel and one of them jokingly commented that being able to guarantee good weather would be the next level of ultimate luxury travel.
‘Rain insurance’ is the newest perk?
But there are conditions:
- ONLY when the “rain duration exceeds 120 cumulative minutes within any 4-hour block of time during daylight hours.”
- It only applies to those staying in the pricey suites.
- You don’t get cash but a voucher, which must be spent at the InterContinental Singapore within six months, and the amount you get is equivalent to one night’s stay in your room category.
Let’s just hope you aren’t staying there during the monsoon months.
