Mom Agnes Velasquez is living in the ICU room with her daughter, 15, who is unvaccinated and was struck down with COVID.
In the heartbreaking call with CNN, you hear a mother’s anguish and she has a strong message for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is against mask mandates.
“The governor should encourage people to take vaccines, to wear masks, to apply the (Covid) guidelines,” Velasquez said.
None of the family had chosen to get vaccinated but now Velasquez is arranging for her sons to get the shots as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, she says she is staying beside her daughter. “I came with my daughter and I’m not going anywhere,” Velasquez said.
