English singer Robbie Williams kicks off his new single ‘You Can’t Stop Christmas’ with the lyrics:

Oh what a miserable year
But what a time to be alive
Sadly some friends disappeared
It’s never been like this before (ooh, ooh)
It feels like we’re at war (ooh, ooh)

Singing about life in COVID, he also appears in a blond wig to spoof British P.M. Boris Johnson, making fun of the politician’s bumbling speeches on the virus.

So what are we to do
About your FaceTime’s and your Zooms?
There’s a room inside my mind
And it’s always here for you

Even though the singer listed some of the ridiculous things that have happened this last year he cheerily sings of the Christmas spirit in a generally uplifting song.

Who couldn’t use a little Christmas cheer?
