‘Now is the time to urgently hide from the wind,’ the National Weather Service said in a flash bulletin on Friday. ‘Failure to adequately shelter may result in serious injury, loss of life, or immense human suffering.’

As Harvey approaches landfall, winds of up to 130mph and rain of more than 35 inches are predicted. This is the first Category 3 hurricane to hit the US in 12 years.
