Trump has already said he’ll probably skip it, hinting that he doesn’t have any ‘serious challengers,’ and DeSantis, in a snit, said he won’t appear on the debate stage if Trump doesn’t.
Other candidates have flinched at the party’s insistence that they sign an RNC loyalty pledge which requires candidates to sign an agreement to support whoever becomes the GOP nominee.
Many Republican candidates have said that the ‘loyalty pledge’ is just another way the party is continuing to ‘pander to Trump and his base.’
