Well, well.
This video just resurfaced of former President Trump in 2016 saying that a president under indictment would “cripple the operations of our government” and create an “unprecedented constitutional crisis” — which is where he finds himself right now.
“In my administration I’m going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information,” he said in August 2016.
As president, in July 2018, Trump also declared that “any access granted to our Nation’s secrets should be in furtherance of national, not personal, interests,” the indictment lays out. Wonder how he reconciles taking Top Secret documents from the White House to his golf club Mar-a-Lago and leaving them in bathrooms and ballrooms around the property?
Of course, now Trump himself faces 37 felony charges, including conspiracy to obstruct justice and violating the Espionage Act.
