Halftime at Superbowl got higher ratings than the entire game and no wonder. Shakira and J.Lo performed but the skimpy outfits, pole dancing and ‘extreme booty shaking’ caused 1,300 viewers to complain to the FCC.
One viewer wrote:
‘SuperBowl is family viewing, not a stripper-men’s club show. The lack of clothing, gyrations, crotch holding, and up-close camera views of Jennifer Lopez’s crotch and butt were offensive.’
Some viewers slammed the program as ‘soft porn.’
Editor’s note: We don’t consider ourselves a prude but we were surprised that the half time show was considered ‘family’ entertainment.
