Wednesday Trump threatened the integrity of the upcoming election…and hinted that he wouldn’t leave office peacefully.
“Well, we’re going to have to see what happens. You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots and the ballots are a disaster,” Trump said ominously when asked if he could commit to the peaceful transition.
“(G)et rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very … there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There’ll be a continuation.”

But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell quickly tweeted:

‘The winner of the November 3rd election will be inaugurated on January 20th.’

‘There will be an orderly transition just as there has been every four years since 1792,’ he continued in his tweet.

Other Republicans also tried to assure the American people, including Mitt Romney who tweeted

‘Fundamental to democracy is the peaceful transition of power.’

What Trump hasn’t taken into consideration is his own party; as soon as he is voted out they will desert him quicker than rats jumping off a sinking ship.
