Drumroll, please…People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2023 is…Patrick Dempsey.
‘I’ve Always Been the Bridesmaid!’ he Jokes
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” says the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor, nicknamed ‘McDreamy’ on the show. “It’s nice to have the recognition, but gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”
“I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good.”
Dempsey jokes his children will not be impressed: they’re “just going to make fun of me and pick on me and figure out every reason why I shouldn’t be,” he says. “Which is good, they keep me young.”
In December you’ll see him in Michael Mann’s ‘Ferrari’ playing an Italian driver. In case you didn’t know, Dempsey drives in his spare time so the role wasn’t a complete stretch.
