No one wanted a second season of the Lily-Rose Depp and Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye show ‘The Idol.’
Slammed by audiences for its salacious sex scenes and needless nudity, the show never got off its feet with ratings falling each week.
In a statement, HBO carefully said:
“After much thought and consideration, HBO, as well as the creators and producers have decided not to move forward with a second season. We’re grateful to the creators, cast, and crew for their incredible work.”
Some critics even called it “the worst TV show of the year.”
