Dyson Designs New Ventilator…Plans To Make 15,000.

We need our inventors more than ever.
Dyson, yes, the vacuum guy, said the company had designed and built an entirely new ventilator, called the “CoVent’ and plans to ramp up production to make 15,000 for English hospitals.
“This new device can be manufactured quickly, efficiently and at volume,” Dyson added, saying that the new ventilator has been designed to “address the specific needs” of coronavirus patients.
With all hands on deck, the plan is to deliver 15K by early April.
“The core challenge was how to design and deliver a new, sophisticated medical product in volume and in an extremely short space of time,” Dyson added. “The race is now on to get it into production.”
Meanwhile, in the US, Tesla announced they have switched from making cars to ventilators and  Ford says that it is working with 3M and GE Healthcare to produce medical equipment including ventilators and protective gear.
