The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) will assess the sensitive documents found at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence for the’ potential risk to national security’, according to a letter sent to House Oversight and Intelligence committee chairs.

On Friday, the Justice Department disclosed that it was investigating Trump for removing White House records because it believed he ‘illegally held documents including some involving intelligence-gathering and clandestine human sources’ – which put the US in danger.
