Arbonne, the botanical-based skincare line, is known for combining natural beauty ingredients with science. Their popular RE9 anti-aging line just added three new products but first …what exactly is RE9 ? Basically, it’s nine age-defying ingredients that the company claims will start working within 24 hours. The key product is the stabilized Vitamin C, key to keeping your skin bright and creating collagen. In Arbonne’s tests, they report that after just 4 weeks* 92% reported a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. 96% reported reduction in the appearance of fine lines. We put the new neck cream, retexturizing serum in lotion and a firming body cream to the test.
Starting with the neck cream, it absorbs quickly –always a good sign — but in just two weeks you won’t see any ‘lifting’ but we did see a slight diminishing of the ‘crepe’ skin and fine lines. It’s a keeper in our skin regime. The only downside? The $85 price tag.
Next, the RE9 Advanced Retexturizing Serum in Lotion: This double-duty serum works on the worst dry, flaky skin, (think elbows, knees, hands, and feet.) It doesn’t just hydrate but the AHAs gently exfoliate to reveal softer, moisturized skin. But after trying for two weeks the consensus was that for 50 bucks, we’d rather use drugstore staple Avenno. ($10.)
RE9 Advanced Firming Body Cream ($75.)
This luxurious cream is formulated with red algae extract which aims to smooth the appearance of ‘dimpled’ skin, as well as improve skin tone and texture. We loved the texture and the instant hydration though we don’t know of any skin cream that gets rid of dimpled skin. For us, red algae produces a nice glow so don’t tell, but we’re also using this on our face. Worth the $75.
In conclusion, spend your hard-earned money on the RE9 body lotion and neck cream. Your skin will thank you.
