Trump’s fawning over Russian President Putin while he was in office was bad enough but to praise the power-hungry oligarch as the US tries to prevent war from breaking out between Ukraine and Russia should count as treason.

Calling Putin’s push into Ukraine ‘genius,’ the former President also enthused, “So Putin is now saying, ‘It’s independent,’ a large section of Ukraine. I said, ‘How smart is that?’ And he’s going to go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force,” Trump said. “We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. … Here’s a guy who’s very savvy. … I know him very well. Very, very well.”

‘I said, “How smart is that?'” the former U.S. president added. ‘And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force… We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace all right.’

Taking a page from his well-worn playbook, Trump also intimated that if he were President he would be much ‘tougher’ than Biden on Putin, which clearly would never be the case.

What is dangerous is that Trump is effectively trying to undermine Biden and US foreign policy and betting against his own country.

At what point do we call him a traitor?
