People living in the Tahoe area in California have nicknamed a 500-pound bear ‘Tank’ but the police are less enamored as the huge bear has broken into 33 properties to date, even breaking small windows to get access to food. And Saturday, he is believed to have broken down a front door to enter another home…while the homeowner was upstairs.
The wildlife officers are considering several options including relocating Hank The Tank or euthanasia but the BEAR League has stepped up to say they would pay all the expenses to move the bear to a wildlife sanctuary.
The last time Tank was spotted he was meandering down the main street in Tahoe.
