Fox’s Bret Baier — surprisingly — went after Trump in an interview Monday.

He tells Trump he ‘lost the 2020 election’ in this exchange:

‘First of all, I won in 2020 by a lot, OK?’ Trump replied. ‘Let’s get that straight. I won in 2020.’

‘You lost the 2020 election,’ Baier replied bluntly.

When Baier pushes him on why didn’t hand over the documents to the Department of Justice after being subpoenaed, Trump, who continually tried to interrupt the host, explained it this way:

“I wanted to go through the boxes and get all my personal things out. I don’t want to hand that over,” he said. “And I was very busy, as you’ve sort of seen.”

Baier characterized Trump as “defiant” and reminded FOX viewers: “He really denies flatly some of the things that are specifically laid out in the indictments.”

In another exchange, Baier counters:

“Why did you have this very sensitive national security defense documents, like the war plans for a strike on Iran?” Baier asked, referring to a central claim by federal prosecutors in last week’s indictment.

Trump responded:

“So like every other president, I take things out, and in my case I took it out pretty much in a hurry but people packed it up and we left. I had clothing in there. I had all sorts of personal items, and they are much, much stuff.”

In the first interview since Trump was indicted, he constantly contradicts himself, slams the media and blames everyone else for his criminal charges.

And MAGA followers were watching.
