Federal, state, and local law enforcement are preparing for possible MAGA riots after Trump announced that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday and called on his followers to protest.
“WE MUST SAVE AMERICA!” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media site, on Saturday. “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”
In New York, they are erecting barricades around the Manhattan Criminal Court and Washington is bracing for protests as well.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) said he’s “confident” the city’s prepared for any protests. Even authorities near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate are also taking security measures.
Meanwhile, authorizes hope that even the Trump extremists remember the legal fallout after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. More than 1,000 people have been arrested on charges related to that day’s events.
