This week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced he’s lifting the mask mandate in Texas even as Biden and health officials warned NOT to ease safety restrictions.
In fact, President Joe Biden said Wednesday that Texas made a “big mistake” by removing its statewide mask mandate and suggested the decision reflected “Neanderthal thinking.”
And an ICU nurse on the frontlines put it this way:
“I feel like we finally hit a point where we all started breathing a little bit easier, we kind of saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and I kind of feel like that was shut down,” said ICU nurse Brittany Smart, “I think we’re all pretty exhausted and I’m scared of what this is going to look like.”
