Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro — who has earned the nickname ‘Trump of the Tropics’ — has consistently downplayed the deadly virus, even calling it ‘a little flu’ and the ‘sniffles’ has now tested positive for COVID.
Previously, when asked about the soaring death toll in Brazil — over 1.6 million cases — he replied ‘So what? I’m sorry, but what do you want me to do?’ (Sound familiar?)
And today, when talking to reporters, he claimed he felt ‘perfectly well’ — and removed his mask.
