Joe Biden won Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, and the big one — Michigan — with its’ 125 delegates.

For a beaten-down Sanders, losing Michigan was a huge blow, one the campaign may well not recover from.

His aides say he is still planning to debate Biden though they will argue without a live audience.

Meanwhile, a confident Biden already is reaching out to Sanders:

“I want to thank Bernie Sanders and his supporters for their tireless energy and their passion,” Biden said. He echoed a common Sanders line on health care, touted their “common goal” and said they would work together to defeat Trump.

As Biden knows, it’s critical to unite the Democratic party before the election – and pick up some ‘Bernie Bro’s votes.
