Celeste Ayala was working her regular shift at the Sor Maria Ludovica children’s hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina when a  baby was brought in crying plaintively.

Seeing that the baby was hungry, the police officer started breastfeeding the baby who calmed down immediately.

Ayala told local media: ‘I noticed that he was hungry, as he was putting his hand into his mouth, so I asked to hug him and breastfeed him.

‘It was a sad moment, it broke my soul seeing him like this, society should be sensitive to the issues affecting children, it cannot keep happening.’

Reportedly, the baby is one of six siblings from a single mother who was in a ‘dire situation’ and been brought to the hospital.

What a hero!
