Surfs up! This Truck Surf Hotel follows the waves. A modified Mercedes truck allows guests to travel to the best surf while they sleep. And it’s pretty swanky. With five bedrooms, a kitchen, ‘social room,’ and a bathroom with a shower, the truck hotel travels around Portugal and Morocco. (Weekly tours beginning every Saturday on the south-west coast between Sines and Lagos. )
The hotel on wheels uses an innovative hydraulic system that enables the walls and ceiling to expand upwards and outwards once parked.
Portuguese surfers Daniela Carneiro and Eduardo Ribeiro came up with the idea and it’s taken off. : ‘This project is all about sharing travel experiences, making new friends and connecting with each other, combining surf, nature and adventure in a new way of traveling, the couple write.
Prices include breakfast, transportation, surf sessions and equipment as well as accommodation and prices vary by the season.
