For travelers planning on bringing Thanksgiving dinner with them (who are these people?) better check the TSA  “What Can I Bring?” page on their website or ask the agency by texting a question to 275-872 or messaging the agency with the @AskTSA handle on X, (formerly known as P.Diddy…uh, we mean Twitter) or through Facebook Messenger.

For instance, you can pack leftover turkey, but not the gravy if it’s over three ounces.

All of these are allowed in your carry-on luggage.

As you know, there are strict rules around bringing liquids, but some tasty items just have to be under three ounces. That includes peanut butter, olive oil, salsa and even fresh eggs. (Who is packing eggs in their luggage?)

Hard cheese, frozen seafood, and dried goods — ie. spices, and nuts — are good to go. With spices, the TSA cautions ‘make sure they’re clearly labeled and unopened, so they’re not mistaken for other substances.’ (That made us chuckle.)

If you’re not sure, check the TSA list before you leave for your trip.
