Susan Rice, the former National Security Advisor under President Obama, sounds the alarm about how Trump could potentially use foreign money to pay the $464 million he owes in legal fines.
“In the event that [Trump] has to take that money from an individual or an entity, whether domestic or international, that individual or entity will potentially have real influence over him, and so that is of concern” if he returns to the White House, she added.
Rice also noted Trump’s “long history of foreign financial entanglements” and warned, “There’s just so many ways the stench of money from dubious places infuses his business enterprise, and so this would add more questions should that be the case going forward.”
As we’ve seen before, Trump thinks nothing of putting his own interests above those of the Nation.
