Though Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell voted to acquit Trump at the impeachment trial he made it clear that  Trump was “practically and morally” responsible for the deadly siege.

An outraged Trump then issued an ugly and personal attack on McConnell:

“Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again,” Trump said in the statement. “He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.”

Vowing revenge against everyone who voted to impeach him, a petty Trump went on to insult and threaten his opponents but McConnell has the last word:

“President Trump is still liable for everything he did while in office. He didn’t get away with anything yet. We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation.”
