Less nicotine = less addiction. It’s that simple.

President Biden aims to introduce rules to limit nicotine levels in tobacco products to make them less addictive, which would go into effect next year.

The White House and FDA said the goal was to reduce youth smoking and make it easier to quit and put fewer people in danger of dying from cancer.

Remember when earlier this year the government announced plans to reduce the death rate from cancer by 50% over the next 25 years?

While this ambitious new plan could help an estimated 5 million people quit smoking,  it faces major pushback from the tobacco industry.
