After the judge warned Trump against attacking his court staff online and imposed a ‘partial gag order’ everyone wondered if he would back up his threat.

Today we got our answer.

While not holding him in contempt, he did fine Trump $5,000 on Friday for a “blatant violation” of a gag order.

The judge, Arthur F. Engoron, also warned that Trump still could face harsher punishments, even jail time, if he did it again.

Earlier, the Judge ordered Trump to take down an incendiary post attacking his law clerk, but while the former President removed it from Truth Justice, he left it up on his campaign website.

“Make no mistake: future violations, whether intentional or unintentional, will subject the violator to far more severe sanctions,” Justice Engoron wrote. He said possible punishments included steeper fines, holding Mr. Trump in contempt of court and “possibly imprisoning him.”

The judge added that, “In the current overheated climate, incendiary untruths can, and in some cases already have, led to serious physical harm, and worse.”
