Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer — and all ‘roud fixer — pleaded guilty Thursday to lying to Congress about plans to build a Trump Tower in Russia.
Why is this so important? Because despite what Cohen said earlier, Trump was indeed involved in business dealings with Russia while involved in a campaign where a foreign country interfered to elect him.
When asked about the revelations, Trump responded in his typical bombastic manner, saying Cohen is ‘making up a story’ and ‘lying, very simply, to get a reduced sentence.’
‘He’s a weak person and not a very smart person,’ Trump told reporters, contending that ‘he’s trying to get a much lesser prison sentence by making up a story.’
Score one more point for the Mueller investigation.
