Attempting to avoid attention, Trump’s lawyers filed motions in middle-of-the-night to argue against releasing Trump’s documents to the January 6th Committee.
What did they include? Everything.
The former president says he is ‘asserting executive privilege; over phone logs, all records, notes and even scribbled handwritten notes. Never mind the fact that President Biden has already refused his attempt at claiming executive privilege.
The National Archive estimates there are 700 pages of handwritten notes, draft documents daily logs his top advisers kept and crucially — visitors log.
Naturally, the leaders of the committee have condemned Trump’s lawsuit as “nothing more than an attempt to delay and obstruct our probe.”
Watch CNN break it down.
