It’s been a slow process, but more women will now appear on US coins thanks to the US Mint’s American Women Quarters Program.
This year, Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, Patsy Takemoto Mink, Zitkala-Ša, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, and Celia Cruz will grace US quarters, celebrating women who shaped American history.
Now, let’s see them on bills!
