In a ground-breaking study examing the connection between acne and depression, The British Journal of Dermatology found that acne sufferers showed a ‘63% higher risk of major depression than individuals without acne.’ (Just ask any teen who has bad acne and they’ll confirm this.)

The ‘no-surprise’ study does emphasize the importance of mental health screenings and getting teens therapy if needed. It’s tough being that age without constant break-outs.
