We all remember tech investor Peter Thiel who donated $1.2 million to the then-candidate Trump and backed him all the way into the White House.
Now he says he got ‘a lot of things wrong.’
“Voting for Trump was like a not very articulate scream for help,” the billionaire now says.
“There are a lot of things I got wrong,” he acknowledged. “It was crazier than I thought. It was more dangerous than I thought. They couldn’t get the most basic pieces of the government to work. So that was—I think that part was maybe worse than even my low expectations.”
And when Trump called him up again, looking for a similar donation, Thiel turned him down and heard later on that Trump had called him a “fucking scumbag.”
Sounds about right.
