Tuesday, President Joe Biden made history when he visited the autoworker’s picket line in Michigan to show support, making him the first President to appear on a pro-labor line.
Autoworkers are striking for higher wages and cost-of-living increases.
Speaking through a bullhorn, he told the striking autoworkers in Wayne County, “You deserve what you earned, and you’ve earned a helluva lot more than you’re getting paid now.”
“Unions built the middle class,” Mr. Biden shouted through a bullhorn. “It’s a fact!”
“Stick with it,” President Biden told the striking United Auto Worker as he departed.
