It’s a ruff life.
A pack of specially trained canines are touring with bands the likes of Metallica and the Black Keys to keep the musicians and crews safe from COVID-19.
The Covid- sniffing dogs continually check the band’s ‘bubble’ and then the local workers at each event.
“We basically screen anyone that has access to the backstage, so the crew, talent and management, and so on,’ said Jerry Johnson, President of Bio Detection K9.
“Costs vary from $5,000 per day for an individual event to significantly lower for our
extended services, such as teams embedded with artists or organizations,” Johnson said.
No word if the pups have their own limos.
