Part-way into the Grammys last night everything stopped. As Adele started singing ‘Fast Love,’ a tribute to the late George Michael, a false start threw her off and the distraught singer signaled the music to stop.

‘I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him’, she cried , and muttered ‘F***’ but just off the mic. ‘

‘I know it’s live TV; I’m sorry I can’t do it again, like last year,’ Adele asked. ‘I’m sorry for swearing. I’m sorry for starting again. Can we please start it again?’

Near tears, the audience applauded her and the songstress started up again, this time completing a achingly beautiful version of the song as photos of George Micheal were projected  behind her.

Clearly upset, the singer was still in tears when she went up to the podium to arrive her next Grammy, though it was otherwise a wonderful night for the artist who won FIVE Grammys including the key award, Album of The Year.
