UPDATE: President Trump officially announced that he is pulling the US out of the Iran Nuclear deal saying :
“This was a horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made,” Mr. Trump said at the White House in announcing his decision. “It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will.”
The New York Times is reporting that President Trump called President Emmanuel Macron of France on Tuesday morning to announce that he plans to announce the withdrawal of the United States from the Iran nuclear deal. Trump will formally announce his decision at 2 p.m Tuesday.
As foreign leaders have warned Trump, this could have devastating consequences.
His rash decision put the US at odds with our allies which leaves the Nation more isolated and could lead to economic and diplomatic discord.
At the heart of the issue is Trump’s insistence that economic sanctions –lifted in the nuclear deal — be imposed back on Iran unless it limits its nuclear fuel production.
The world just became a much more dangerous place.
