James Gunn, who helmed the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, is set to take over as director in what is being billed as a ‘direct sequel but as a relaunch.’
‘Gunn’s focus is to take the franchise in a new direction with a mostly all-new cast of characters and actors. The project is very much rooted in Gunn’s vibe, as seen in the Guardians movies,’ said a source.
