Before you book that flight next fall to Australia did you know that Qantas Airlines is demanding proof that you’ve been vaccinated against the COVID vaccine?

In a sign of the times, in order to travel  — or go to the movies, or attend a concert — people may need a ‘vaccine passport.’

Already companies are working on smartphone apps so you could upload medical data such as a COVID vaccination in the form of a QR code without revealing any other private medical information.

In fact, the newly established Common Trust Network has partnered with several airlines including Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, as well as hundreds of health systems to generate such a QR code or vaccine passport.
With safeguards to keep your medical information secure, this may be the ONLY way to travel next year.
