‘Home 2 Suites’ by Hilton Biloxi has a unique program that allows guests to foster pups during their stay and then adopt them afterward. (It’s one of those long-stay hotels so it makes sense.)
Called ‘Fostering Hope,’ it works by bringing pets from the South Mississippi Humane Society to the front office and letting them interact with guests. If they wish, they can bring one of the loveable pups into their apartment during their stay and if they get along, adopt them when they leave.
The brainchild of Teresa Johnston, the deals director of the hotel, she says:
“ We’ve numerous guests who stay for long time, working at Keesler air base or Ingalls dockyard, as well as other diligence. I saw the guests feeling lonely, so I wanted to help them and the community.
