Splashdown!

The Crew-6 splashed down in their SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule off the coast of Florida on Monday. With four astronauts aboard, it traveled 17,000 miles per hour, and as it began the final leg of its descent, the spacecraft’s exterior heated up to about 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit but inside the spacecraft cabin the crew was protected by a heat shield.

As you’ll see in the video, the crew is carefully helped out of the capsule and then taken directly to a medical exam, as is standard.
