A judge’s gag order certainly didn’t seem to have affected Trump. After Donald Trump exited the courtroom Monday afternoon he launched into an attack on his former attorney and ‘fixer’ Michael Cohen, even though Judge Merchan included Cohen specifically in the gag order.
Referencing times Cohen has been in trouble with the law (fact check that), he emphatically told reporters that Cohen’s testimony ‘had nothing to do with me.’
‘He represented a lot of people over the years but they take this payment and they call it a legal expense.’
‘This is what I got indicted over,’ Trump said.
‘It’s a case as to bookkeeping which is a very minor thing in terms of the law, in terms of all the violent crime,’ Trump continued
He went on to complain that:
‘It’s very unfair what’s going on and I should be allowed to campaign,’ he said ‘We did nothing wrong.’
