Sadly, drivers recovered a pickup truck with two victims inside and other vehicles have been detected by officials. A few of the vehicles are entangled with the steel girders of the bridge so it will be a while before divers can recover the passengers.
Jennifer Homendy, the N.T.S.B. chair, said the ship is in “utter devastation” as it remains anchored in the Patapsco River. “We certainly have structural damage everywhere,” she said.
