Trump is in India for a whirlwind trip — just two days. As we know with this President, he’ll go anywhere he’s guaranteed a crowd and India didn’t disappoint.
Over 100,000 people jammed into a stadium as Trump swelled with narcissistic pride and told the Indian people:
‘America loves India. America respects India. And America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people,’ the president said to cheers. ‘You have done a great honor to the American people. Melania, my family, we will always remember this remarkable hospitality,’
Ostensibly there to discuss trade and defense issues, most of the time seemed to be taken up with photos around India. It also provided the President with a handy diversion from his troubles at home.
