Friday President Trump and Melania will be having tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle.
Though he has been briefed on Royal protocol, such as letting her Majesty take the lead, fears that he will embarrass himself and the Monarch has a collective nation holding its’ breath.
Among the etiquette points Trump needs to remember:
- Wait for the Queen to extend her hand for a handshake.

As is royal etiquette, Mr. Trump and Melania should address the Queen as ‘Your Majesty’ when he first meets her.After that, he should address her as ‘Ma’am’.

ALWAYS remain standing and let the Queen sit first.
- Queen Elizabeth prefers to pour her own tea so Trump should wait to be served rather than serving himself.
