He may not be our next Bond, but actor Idris Elba has been named by People Magazine as this year’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive.’ The 46-year-old year-old hunk actor did the big reveal live via satellite on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Reportedly, Michael B. Jordan, Jason Momoa, and Chris Pratt were also in the running.
In the article, our husband Elba talked about his reaction to earning coveted honor.
‘I was like, “Come on, no way. Really?”‘ Idris said. ‘Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, “Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.” But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.’
In London filming, Idris told host Fallon: ‘my mom is going to be very, very proud.’
